We have granite countertops and food gets cold quickly when placed on them. I treated this like a cast iron skillet. Then, as a serving tray. Perfect for a whole chicken, pork loin, meatloaf, etc.. I don’t cook on it, just prepare the meat for serving, warm it in the oven on this and prepare the rest of the meal. I keeps the meat warm while I prepare the rest and DURING mealtime (even on granite). I clean it and treat it just like a skillet Swish it in sudsy water water, then place it in an already warm/hot oven to dry. Nice size for 2-4 people (or more servings). Very rustic looking and presentable for a serving dish in my opinion. Will order a couple more. Didn’t get the wood holder. Don’t need it, but may check into it later.
