This is my second 12″ Kitchen Aid pan, I also have the smaller version. I like the weight of this pan and the price.Follow the directions to make the pan last- medium heat. The packing was awful- a gigantic box with brown paper on top. The pan must have bounced around a lot- it is off-round, more oval shaped on one side. The handle was sticking out of a hole in the box. If I had been home when it was delivered, I might not have accepted it.

Some good, some bad – Big Joe –
First the good – nice and heavy, heats evenly, good quality “feel”. Now the bad. I’ve had two of them and both behaved the same way. Despite using only plastic utensils, multiple small scratches developed. And despite following instructions and never using a heat setting higher than “medium”, both began to stick within about six months of usage. Even bacon! Fool me once – shame on me. Fool me twice – shame on me again I guess.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE THESE PANS!! They are absolutely the finest skillets I have ever had. I really didn’t have the ‘financial backing’ to invest in an expensive set of pans. I truly needed a skillet, as my old one had really lost it’s ability to stop food from sticking, and it needed to be ‘recycled’! I started checking the customer rating of skillets across the web. By far, the KitchenAid had the highest rating in an inexpensive skillet. Everyone says how pleased they are with the design and durability. Since I purchased this set, I have also purchased the 11″ wok and smaller 8″ skillet, perfect for the one or two egg frying. I want these to last forever, so I wash them up as soon as I am done with them, dry and hang them back up, so that my family doesn’t forget and stick them in the dishwasher, which is not recommended. They wash up beautifully. I use one or more of them each day, and the exterior remains pristine in appearance. I could go on, but you get the picture!!! By the way, I have a smooth top glass [Ceran] cooktop, and I have no problems with the pans cooking evenly.

KitchenAid makes great stuff and this set of Non-Stick Skillets is another example.
The pans are perfect for my needs and the non-stick finish is the best I have ever seen. Cleanup is easy with a few drops of dishwash liquid and hot water. A quick wipe with a paper towel and the pan is clean and ready to store away.

The only negative was the way the two pans were tied together when shipped. I actually caused a scratch on the upper rim of the larger one trying to cut the plastic tye. I eventually needed to resort to a box cutter!

I have used the pans for omelets, turkey burgers, Boca burgers, etc. It is so good on burgers that I no longer use my George Foreman grill. Buy these pans with confidence because this company has figured out that quality is the best marketing tool you can use.

KitchenAid stands up to its excellent name again. This is the best skillet I have ever had. I fried fish in it…..it has never come out so nicely golden brown. No leftover smell. No sticking. Love this skillet.

They had a similar skillet in colors for less.

Skillet is a quality weight anodized aluminum.
It has what seems to be a high quality nonstick interior.
The comfort handle has a good feel and is oven safe to 450 degrees.

CON
The cushion handle means you CANNOT use in a broiler.
No top browning your omelet in the broiler.
