This was my first time buying cookware, and I didn’t realize how expensive they can be. A similar skillet like this could could you around 30 dollars. I saw this one for under 20. I make pancakes with it, which is ok because it can brown and burn them too quick, thats the only downside to it. It heats up quick, retains heat very well. I baked a piece of prime rib in it and it was good for that too. I also heat up flour tortillas to warm and make quesadillas. For the size and price this is a good buy.
Good pan, needs practice – jelodi97 – Austin, Texas
After deciding to transition from non-stick pans to cast iron, I purchased this pan when I burnt/destroyed (oops) my 12 inch non-stick skillet. The heaviness of this pan, plus the time to season it a bit more means more work, but I like how food turns out when I cook with this pan. I haven’t had the courage to do eggs in it yet, but the pan is getting more and more non-stick with additional use. The weight of the pan is a challenge, but it just takes some getting used to.

Bought the Emeril cast iron from BBB and returned it. The made in china bothered me. never shouldve bought it.
Went with the Lodge instead. Quality is night and day. Used it tonight and the performance is flawless.

Great cast iron skillet… one of the most used items in my kitchen. just season with a bit of oil after each use and you are good to go!
