I have ordered several different cast iron pans over the past few months. This one is by far the best. It comes very well seasoned and cooks excellent right from the start. Just make sure you take the time to re-season it and care for it correctly. I was a little disappointed to find out that the cover is only heat safe to 350 degrees while the pan is safe to 500 degrees but not a big deal.

The fryer works well depending on what you are doing. My wife has a hard time with things sticking to the pan, but she is new to the cast iron cookware. Make sure you season it well.
The surface may be better, but for the money I can live with the imperfection…. Overall, a good product for the money.
