This aluminum skillet has a high-quality Thermolon Endurance non-stick interior coating which is durable and highly scratch resistant. Thermolon-coated cookware releases 50% fewer greenhouse gases during production and contains no toxic substances that could be released at high temperatures. In contrast to conventional non-stick coatings, Thermolon is completely free of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and is manufactured without the use of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). It is heat-resistant to 850°F/450C. The aluminum pan has a black exterior, an extra-thick forged base for even browning and cooking, and is suitable for use with induction cooktops. The skillet has a sleek, rounded shape with ergonomic riveted cast hollow stainless steel handles.

I purchased this at Target for about half of the price because I wanted to try them before I dropped 0 for the set. The key to using this is to follow the directions. Place the pan on the burner and heat it until it is warm (not hot). Then put oil or butter (I have used both) until the oil/butter is hot and ready for cooking. Place the item you want to cook in the pan. You should hear a sizzle when you place your food in the pan (if not then it isn’t hot enough). I have used this pan at least once a day for the last 2 weeks and as long as you follow the directions it is a wonderful nonstick surface that is easily as good as any Teflon coated pan. And as a bonus it isn’t made with the questionable chemicals used in most traditional nonstick pan surfaces. I will definitely be purchasing the set. Check Special Offer Price!
